The Island of Hawaii is called "The Big Island" and is home to several active volcanoes.

The Big Island of Hawaii is the newest of the volcanic chain of islands and is the largest of all the other islands. It boasts amazing culture with the birthplace of King Kamehamea and home to the famous Merry Monarch Hula Festival each February.

The temperature on the island remains between 70 and 90 degrees F except at high altitudes such as visiting Mauna Kea.
