About:

Humpback whales travel to the Hawaiian waters every winter not just because Hawaii is the number one vacation destination in the world, but to give birth and mate before heading back to Alaska to eat. Adventure X Ocean Tours takes you to the action wherever it is happening. Guests experience the thrill of encountering these 80,000 pound animals in a close and safe way. From baby whales curiously scouting out the boat to witnessing a triple breach, Adventure X Rafting has seen it all. Leaving out of Puako, we right away enter the nursing grounds of mother humpback whales and their babies. Go out a little further and you may witness a competition pod, a battle between males over the female.

The captains and crew are very knowledgeable about the behavior of these animals behavior and will share insightful facts throughout the entire trip. You definitely don't want to miss out on a once in a lifetime whale watching experience.

This is a seasonal activity starting the end of December and going through March. Check in for this activity is 30 minutes prior to the departure time. Please note that weather forecasts more than 24 hours in advance are rarely accurate due to our location in the Pacific Ocean.

Restrictions: No one Pregnant over 6 months, no guests with back or neck injuries. No children under the age of 3 years old.

48 hour Cancellation policy applies to all reservations. Adventure X does reserve the right to cancel customers booking for a full refund in case of bad weather or not enough travelers for the tour to operate.

This is a barefoot charter, special exceptions may apply but shoes may get wet.

Departing from the Puako, conditions are typically calm, but there’s always a motion to the ocean. Sea sickness is uncommon on these tours, but for those who are susceptible we suggest taking seasickness medication the night before and the morning of your tour. We suggest staying hydrated, avoiding heavy foods, and abstaining from alcohol before your whale watch.

Tours with less than 6 passengers are not confirmed. You will be notified the day before if for some reason your tour does not have 6 passengers total.
